Program adapted for MID / mild ASD

A structured journey from assessment to concrete projects.

PARLONS-EN CHAT is designed for adults with mild intellectual disabilities (MID) or mild ASD who are able to communicate and participate in group exchanges.

1. Individual assessment

Before joining, each participant goes through an individual assessment to determine the most suitable group.

  • communication level
  • autonomy
  • specific needs
  • age group and group dynamics
Important criterion: communication ability is essential in our current model.

Special cases

Some specific needs, such as reduced mobility or semi-autonomy, may be assessed case by case.

For some special cases, our external partner firm may help adapt the support. More complex cases may be developed in a future phase.

2. Integration into the chat group

Introductions

Each participant introduces themselves to the group at their own pace.

Clear rules

The experienced moderator explains the chat rules: respect, turn-taking, boundaries and safety.

First mission

The group chooses its own name to create a sense of belonging.

Concrete example

A discussion can become a movie night.

If the group talks about movies and votes for a comedy, each participant can receive a role.

  • Chantal: popcorn lead
  • Joel: film selection in the voted category
  • Julien: chair setup
  • Sophie: drink selection

A countdown begins and each meeting helps prepare the activity.
